For Elliot
Perfectly you lived, in the moments you were here;
But, you were gently gathered unto God, as His scriptures make so clear.
We know you felt our love’s embrace, before you had to leave;
And, one day soon we’ll embrace again, and we will no longer grieve.
A little more dark, will always be our night.
And, the sun we see above, will not be quite as bright.
We will toil to live as humbly, as you our precious child;
And, in the Kingdom of Heaven, we’ll join you in a while.
